		<description>Right on point.  The solution, if we are to arrive at one, will be in a portfolio of solutions.  Gates is right in part that we need clean supply side solutions, but demand side solutions and new energy storage will go a long way in solving the problem.   

The EPRI Prism Model is perhaps one of the best examples of how the energy/climate change problem can be solved, and it shows the portfolio approach to solving the problem – both demand and supply side solutions.  Hopefully, new and better technologies can be developed to add to the arsenal of solutions.  

Part of the problem is that we talk about these new “conceptual technologies” like they are here and deployable now. Many will never develop or be too cost prohibitive to deploy.  Demand side solutions like conservation and efficiency are the low lying fruit and we can deploy these now.  Let’s do all of the above.
